Sustainability & Climate Finance

I have specialised in developing strategies to scale up investment in clean technologies. This is built on a technical engineering background from Imperial College London, as well as an economic and business background from the University of Cambridge and ETH Zürich.

IEA Government Energy Spending Tracker

December 2022

I spearheaded this report on global clean energy investment fiscal support. This included building a tracker that collates measures put in place by governments to support investment in energy infrastructures, renewables, electrification, efficiency, and supply chains in the energy sector.

IEA World Energy Outlook 2022

October 2022

As part of the Tracking Sustainable Transitions team in the Sustainability and Technology Outlook Directorate, I supported the modelling in the flagship IEA report. In particular, analysed the policy implications of the USA Inflation Reduction Act.

A Framework to Recycle Recycled Plastics

My degree in Mechanical Engineering culminated in this Master Thesis on building a framework for the recyclability of plastics in a Circular Economy. Recycled polymers experience a reduction in mechanical properties due to chain scission which is problematic for engineering polymers, as they are selected specifically for their performance. To improve the recycling of polymers, this study determines the deterioration in mechanical performance of ABS polymer due to recycling.

A light-weighting index for various modes of transport

The sustainable transition will require more constrained use of materials, particularly for Battery Electric Vehicles, where the weight of the chassis significantly affects the range. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to determine the feasibility of an appropriate light-weighting index for various modes of transport.
